We booked a week long cottage holiday in July 2019 using funding that was granted to us in 2018 and not used then as I had to go hospital for an operation. We took our daughter Ava who has autism, fragile X syndrome and seizures to Strontian near Fort William in the highlands of Scotland.
It was just the break we all needed and perfect for Ava as she loves nature and being at the beach, spending ages exploring and being away from the everyday noises that can so easily send her anxiety through the roof. It was wonderful seeing her less stressed and so happy pottering around at her own pace. We just wouldn’t have been able to choose such a beautiful property without the help of Take a Break, so for that we are very very grateful indeed.
